The Pilchard Works

Based in Newlyn near Penzance, home to the busiest and largest fishing port in England. They only use the finest fish from the waters around West Cornwall to supply high quality Cornish fish products.
The fish that they use comes from small, under 12m metre vessels that fish in Mount's Bay each night of the season and land less than four hours later with the fish chilled in slush ice tanks. The attractive tins feature Newlyn School paintings and now carry the MSC logo certification awarded by Marine Stewardship Council for the sustainability of their fishing and stock control methods.
