Most of Sue's early work was of her first love, horses then years of pet portraits followed. The first tractor she painted, the grey Ferguson, opened up a new direction. Having grown up in the country, the knowledge was there, waiting to be painted: work-a-day scenes (with plenty of mud!), the backdrop of English farm buildings which have seen generations of workers, the horseman of old, the transition of tractors and finally, today's giants.
